The Realm of Eternal Rain first started life as the Freya Crescent Shrine back in August 2002, after several weeks of hard work by it's webmaster, Nivalis Capistrum. It was created entirely in Microsoft Notepad and was originally hosted on this domain, www.eternalrain.org, before the shrine moved servers to PowerWebHost.net, under the domain name www.eternalrain.net. Content originally contained barebones information about Freya Crescent and several pieces of fan works by a few fans, before eventually growing to a whole list of Freya's abilities, in depth detail about her clothing, a project to include Burmecians in the game Morrowind, and many more!

To this end, the Realm of Eternal Rain forums were created on EzBoard around the same time as the shrine was. Freya's army of fans grew slowly but surely as time went on, even spawning a seperate RP forum on InvisionFree, which acted as a sister board to the main community.

A few weeks before the domain on www.eternalrain.net expired, Declan Tribal (That's me!) was contacted by Nivalis, who was looking for someone to transfer the domain to somebody else before it fully expired completely. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to aquire it due to technical issues, so we decided to renew the old .org domain.

On May 11th, 2007, the Freya Crescent Shrine moved to Streamline.net, under the old domain name www.eternalrain.org and with a new name - The Realm of Eternal Rain. In addition to the move, myself and a fellow forum administrator, LancerZero, decided to create a new board for the community on ProBoards. With better functionality and more stability than EzBoard, and with larger space and bandwidth on Streamline.net's servers, we were, essentially, going for a reboot of the Freya Crescent community.

It should be noted that the current iteration of the shrine was created in Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Macromedia Dreamwaver MX.
